About This Episode:
Today we’re in Taiwan trying out the world’s oldest egg. JK. It’s actually just a few months old. Ok, I guess that still pretty good, but nowhere near to its namesake, the Century Egg. The Century Egg is a unique Chinese born food with strong flavors and a pungent aroma, but once you mix it with some rice porridge or tofu, it’s pretty damn good.

About Sonny Side:
I’m not sponsored. I’m not rich. I’m just some guy who wanted to make the type of travel videos that I would want to see. This show is completely self-funded so thanks for patiently watching that five second advertisement (and read below how you can support this channel).

I am a video director by trade. Each time I travel to a new country I bring a cameraman with me, usually a friend, to shoot as many episodes as possible in a short amount of time (usually a week). The rest of the time I’m working as a video director/videographer in Vietnam and editing the crap out of these videos.

Much love and remember, Don’t Think, Just Chew.

I’m a huge fan of trying different, interesting and strange foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly MY point of view, but is not meant to offend any person or culture.

Great video and eaten correctly. We Chinese people eat it because it taste good and we love it. My favorite way to eat it is with congee (savory rice porridge) with Pidan (Century egg) with a little bit of Chinese (savory) donut and cilantro on top! The best! Thank you for being respectful with other people's cultural food. Those crazy American challenges….obviously they don't know what they were doing. You don't eat it by itself. How dumb!

I recently had one with my rice and beef and honestly its pretty damn great. The first bite was a throw off because its gelatinous and strong but after the fact I liked it

My mum tried a 1000 year old snakes egg. Idk if this is what she meant or the century egg. But you should try the snakes egg if it’s a thing. And this is my fave YouTube Channel ever ❤️

Once my wife and I had a tour in Paris.
We went to a restaurant and tried their salad.
To my surprise was the salad's addressing cheese, it tastes very similar to the oldest egg and goes with the dish quite well.
