  1. Lucky Sketch

I’ve been in Shifen and I asked some of the locals there that the fallen lanterns gives jobs to the locals. They exchange the used lantern to the shops, which tourists pays. It’s a win-win marketing. Not sure about the gas that they use.

Hi, really enjoyed your vlogs. Keep up the good work! Just FYI, regarding the lanterns and waste, there are lantern collectors who go out in the nearby mountains regularly to find them. They get compensated for about $1-1.5 US per lantern.

  3. Taiwan Rediscovered

Really glad you enjoyed your visit to Taiwan!
I was born in this island but only recently moved back, and have been rediscovering the beauty of this island!
Just want to share with people the stunning views of Taiwan, especially for those of you stuck in doors due to the epidemic (T-T).
I hope this video would entice you to visit this beautiful country when things blow over!

Best of luck to everyone! Stay home, be safe!

Went there last year at the end of Feb. Over ate and did tons of walking. Did the lantern thing and was told by our tour guide that if the residents find the lanterns they can return them and they get paid. Enjoyed your vlog. I have a vlog of my trip too if you want to check it out 😁.
