Mercedes 4×4 CamperVan Tour Taiwan! 台灣露營車 Is this VANLIFE? Ep162

This one will impress even the most seasoned Vanlifer…

Our travels so far in Taiwan have revealed a massive unexpected camper van and RV community that are incredibly kind and welcoming.

The camping culture here in Taiwan is huge and they take it very seriously with some absolutely awesome campsites and even more awesome camper conversions and unique builds.

In a beautiful campsite in Nantou we met many new friends, one of them being the owner and builder of what we reckon could be one of the most epic camper vans we’ve come across.

Meet Ducky and his incredible Mercedes 310 4×4 camper van conversion.

This thing is truly one of a kind and we take you up close and personal on a walkthrough then hit a short trail together .

We hope you enjoy this as much as we did.

Join us as we travel the world overland, exploring the cultures and traditions of all the countries we visit.
In our Land Rover Defender camper which is our full time home we will take you rock climbing, hiking and exploring across all the continents on this planet.

Interesting seeing steam coming off you hub/brakes in the opening shot going through the water…..

I would have though by the time you set up for the shot gun amd brakes would have cooled…….

Probably happened to me heaps just never had a camera filming it

    Great video as always.

What a great truck. The design is excellent, especially where you manage to incorporate 2 uses for things like a seat and a bed with a cooker that can be on a sink or one of your many dropdown shelves. Love your shower / toilet setup – excellent ideas. i have a land rover 110 with a camping trailer and a 130 like Grizly & Bear but mine is fixed and has a lifting roof. I hope you do not mind if I use some of your ideas.

The Mercedes has amazing conveniences and use of small space. Noticed red ribbons/straps on rear corners of Bear. Assume it is for seeing clearance. Required by Taiwan or something you did for enhancement?

Hey Guys. Wondering if you have any recommendation for a company who can manage the carnet and shipping process country to country. Will be initially shipping from Brisbane and new to international overlanding. Appreciate any help. Thanks

Just FYI I know there is nothing you can do but your videos do not show in my subscriptions and I get no notifications. I unsubed and then subed again last week it did nothing that used to work.

The van looks pretty good, I like his attitude "Rolling Life Ducky" I hope he enjoys his van for years to come. Nice to see you stretch Bears "legs" and get off pavement. Be safe.

Wow super nice 4×4 van . Very well thought out and beautiful build . And looked good of roading to . But still a Land Rover lover . Grizzly and bear looked so good out in the countryside along that track . Cheers from Steve Stott in Sutherlin Oregon U.S.A. …P. S. Thanks for sharing this video .

One of the most amazing camper builds I've ever seen! This man combines so much good ideas in just one build! He should start a van-build-business.
