The “Taiwan Food: The Perfect Partner” webinar was made possible by the cooperation between the National Food Institute (NFI), PC Home (Thailand) Co., Ltd., which is a company in the PChome Online Inc. group, the largest e-commerce business in Taiwan, and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA). The purpose of this webinar is to promote the Food Taipei Mega Shows which is scheduled to be held in this coming October 6-9 in Taipei, Taiwan.
This mega-event is headlined by Food Taipei and also features Foodtech Taipei, Bio/Pharmatech Taiwan, Taipei Pack and Taiwan HORECA. The trade shows comprehensively represent the entire food industry supply chain, covering the upstream, mid-stream, downstream sections of the food industry and peripheral equipment sectors that help facilitate one-stop procurement for global buyers. In addition to the Taiwan Pavilion, there will be 17 national pavilions, including those of Japan, Latin America, Belgium, and Indonesia. The event will fully occupy Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 1 (TaiNEX1) and Hall 2 (TaiNEX2), which are expected to host a total of more than 4,000 booths.
Amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Food Taipei Mega Shows aim to implement the concept of Online-Merge-Offline (OMO) in order to encourage participants worldwide to converge on the mega-event. Serving as one of Asia’s largest food industry platforms, the Food Taipei Mega Shows are expected to stimulate innovation and provide more business opportunities.
Particularly, this year the show will hold an online exhibition for one month from October 6 to November 5, which includes online meeting reservation, real-time chats and messages. Online sourcing meetings will also be held, offering more interactions among domestic and international buyers across regions and time zones to create win-win business solutions.
