We are in Taipei (台北), Taiwan (台灣). Today we are visiting Xiangshan (象山) also known as Elephant Mountain or Mount Elephant located in the Xinyi District in Taipei (台北). We plan to walk the Elephant Mountain Hiking Trail also known as Nangang District Hiking Trail to the top viewpoint before sunset to enjoy the magnificent view of Taipei and the very famous Taipei 101 Tower. The view from Elephant Mountain has to be the best view of Taipei city and the Taipei 101 building.

The video begins where we have just arrived at the Xiangshan MRT Station on the very efficient Taipei MRT Train system. From here we show the viewer how to find the way from the MRT Station up to the beginning of Xiangshan (象山) or as most westerners probably call it, Elephant Mountain. We hope you find the “Elephant Mountain How to Get there Video” useful.

    心起善念
    善雖未為
    吉神已隨之
    心起惡念
    惡雖未為
    兇神已隨之
    Kind in thoughts
    Though kind yet act upon
    Kind God follow thee
    Evil in thoughts
    Though bad yet act upon
    Demon God follow thee.

At 3:03, the Chinese characters written on the rock are " Sanli Park, Construction completed on August 15, Year Eighty Second of Republic of China era." 1912 is ROC year 1st; therefore, the construction completed date was 8/15/1993.
    4:13 "Hiking Entrance".
5:14 It's a bit hard to translate character by character, its general meaning is "Once you are thinking about doing something good to others, even though you have not done it yet, good luck has already followed you. Contrarily, bad luck comes after you once you have the evil thinking in your mind, no matter they are done yet.
7:18 Elephant Mountain North Star Temple trails.
9:44 "Elephant Mountain" in the middle. The right row "The built date December 30, Year 74 ROC era" it was 12/30/1985. The left row "Built by Taipei City Early morning exercises association"

    心起善念,善雖未為,吉神已隨之。
    心起惡念,惡雖未為,惡神已隨之。
This is a kind of the Chinese slang.
It means if you’re a kind person then the God will bless you.
If you’re the bad guy then the devil will kill you.

I always enjoyed your flight reports and airport videos, because they remind me.
My last trip to India in 2017 for 2 months eg. But I don't like big cities as Delhi or Taipei. I love the, sometimes a little dirty, streetlife in Indian villages and smaller towns.
Next trip is planed from 15.01. 19 til 15.04. 19.
    Entil then: Flightreports from traveller.
